big crowd showed up today for the start of the 30th annual caribbean carnival festival. plenty of colorful costumes, some great food, too. still have one more chance to check out the festival tomorrow. clifton park between noon and 9:00. boy, you couldn't ask for better weather for something like that today unless you're standing right over the grill. >> yeah, that place might not be fun but it was fantastic for a summer weekend. >> it doesn't get much better than this. >> it really. doesn't we lost a lot of the humidity after the rain. still warmed up this afternoon. we topped out at 90 degrees. so, if you were in the sun, it got warm. today is the kind of day that you could get some relief if you went into the shade. average temperature, 87 degrees. we're above it. we'll spend the next few days above that. we drop down to 77 in baltimore. you can see 81 in d.c. 70s throughout and 60s out in the mountains. wind had turned around to the northwest. a light wind. brought in the drier air. that's why the humidity really dropped as we moved through the day. now, still light.
